Creamy Avocado Spinach Smoothie

For best results, consume this smoothie immediately as it will gradually oxidize (turn brownish) after some time.


  • 1 ripe avocado pitted & skinned
  • 50 grams spinach leaves (frozen or fresh)
  • 30 grams sliced cucumber
  • 1 small ripe or overripe banana
  • 1 tsp chia seeds optional
  • 1 tsp flax seeds optional
  • 300 ml pure coconut water
  • maple syrup to taste; only if needed

You also need:

  • a high-powered smoothie blender such as the Nutribullet or Ninja (if using frozen foods and chia/flax seeds)


Pulse all the ingredients in the blender until smooth. Serve immediately.

  2. I think the banana and coconut will do it for me as sweetener as well :) ..and good tip for using frozen spinach.
