This recipe is a good use of any leftover cranberry sauce from Christmas. I haven’t made muffins for a while so I thought I will make something from my leftover cranberries while the Christmas mood is still lingering. I use back my trusty blueberry muffins base recipe, but I half the sugar since the cranberry sauce is already sweet . The mild sweetness of the muffins complement the tartness of the cranberries very well. Forget about leftovers, I think I will make cranberry sauce just to bake these!

Beautiful muffins. The cupcake cases are also beautiful. If only I can have one now to go with a cup of hot milk. That would bring me big smiles in this cold weather.

I froze a ton of leftover cranberry sauce! It would be perfectly delicious to use in these muffins! Hope you had a great Christmas! Happy New Year!
Great idea to use up leftover cranberry sauce! Might have to try this as I made waaay too much cranberry sauce. I suspect they may be a little too alcoholic for muffins though, lol.
p.s. I have the same muffin liners! :P
