Mint is a prolific growing plant and and my home-grown mint have been growing furiously like weed without any care (click here for the tutorial on how to grow your own mint). From time-to-time, I will harvest a bunch of mint for neatness, and also I believe that doing so will encourage new leaves to grow. To me, home-grown is superior because I snip it only when I need to, ensuring maximum freshness.
Thanks to readers’ suggestions on facebook & instagram, I made this mint tea on the day of harvesting and the result was great. Besides mint, the other ingredients are what I already have in my pantry – green tea bags, honey and lime. I made mine in the afternoon, chill it in the fridge and serve it during dinner. This is definitely a refreshing and soothing drink, and so effortless to prepare.
