PB&J Overnight Oats

Who doesn’t like PB&J (short for peanut butter & jelly)? This PB&J overnight oats is something richer (just like my chocolate overnight oats) that I love to indulge in on Fridays, as I happily count down to the weekend. For one who can’t decide between the deliciousness of peanut butter oats and strawberry oats (upcoming), this PB&J version is simply the best of both worlds.

This is the first way of serving PB&J oats (by layering). In the main serving glass, in goes the basic overnight oats. Top it with a layer of strawberry jam “jelly” which sweetens the oats, followed by creamy peanut butter. Finish up with toppings of fresh cubed strawberries and roasted peanuts. Before eating, mix everything well so that the oats are evenly sweetened by the jam.

This is the second way to present the PB&J oats. The cubed strawberries, strawberry jam and creamy peanut butter and basic overnight oats are mixed together (pictured above). If you like, spoon in another serving of jam and peanut butter for pretty swirls.

"PB&J" - Creamy peanut butter and strawberry jam
“PB&J” – In this recipe they are peanut butter spread and strawberry jam. I try to use all-natural products (pictured above) whenever I can, so both the peanut butter and jam I used do not contain added sugar. The strawberry jam used to pass off as the “jelly” is very sweet even without the added sugar, so it is used to sweeten the plain oats instead of the regular maple syrup or honey.

  1. That’s definitely a great meal to wake up to. Peanut butter and jam are such a great combo.
